# DIG IT OUT

Making a stand to end racial discrimination and prejudice in Horticulture

What is #DigItOut?

#DigItOut is a movement that is working to spread awareness of racial abuse and discrimination.

We are a non-profit and non-governmental organisation that has created a platform for victims of racism to voice their stories in the hope that society will become more tolerant and accepting.

The Dig It Out campaign was established Mothin Ali, founder of My Family Garden, in 2020. This was after repeatedly suffering racist abuse from online trolls within the British horticultural society.

Dig It Out’s mission is to become the UK’s first horticultural equality and inclusion organisation.

We will endeavour to work throughout the horticulture, gardening and farming community sectors to challenge discrimination, encourage inclusive practices and campaign for positive change.
